Israel on the Brink of Civil War

The Israeli army deployed across major cities Wednesday to help police counter a wave of Palestinian attacks that have left the country on the brink of civil war.

Six army units, comprising hundreds of troops, are part of sweeping responses approved by Israel to confront the rising bloodshed.

Israel's cabinet authorized Israeli police to seal off any points of friction or perceived incitement as 8 Israelis have been killed and dozens injured in the past two weeks, and at least 30 Palestinians have been killed by Israelis.

This cabinet also approved a recommendation by Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan not to return the bodies of Palestinian attackers, preventing families from burying them in accordance with Muslim traditions.

Israel’s security cabinet also announced it would demolish the homes of some of the attackers and strip them of Jerusalem residency rights or Israeli citizenship, transferring them to the Palestinian Authority that controls the West Bank. Israel also plans to post hundreds more security guards on public transport.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated Tuesday evening  in a televised speech, "Israel will settle the score with the murderers and those who help them." and “We will cut the hands of whoever tries to hurt us.”

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that Israel was making the situation worse, criticizing excessive force by Israeli security forces.

 — The phones have been ringing nonstop at the Gun Hill shooting range, following a week of daily knife attacks by Palestinians and a clarion call by Israeli politicians requesting that permit holders should carry their pistols on their hips to help protect the citizenry against terrorists.
“It’s a madhouse,” said Yair Yifrach, general manger of the training center and gun shop at a Jewish settlement north of Jerusalem.
Yifrach, a gun instructor, does not think it is a good idea to have a bunch of undertrained, anxious Israelis rushing to own guns. But he does support the idea — as do most Israelis — that civilians who are veterans of military service trained in responsible use of firearms are a “force multiplier” on the streets.

Herzl Kabalo, head of the firearms department at the Ministry of Public Security, said there has been a sharp increase in the number of people requesting to renew permits or applying for new permits to carry a gun.
It's just a matter of Time before this is all out WAR.
